Moonspell - Irreligious

As stated in a previous post I spent several years ignoring the Moonspell discography, maybe because I liked to listen only to aggressive and anger metal. So this Moonspell's album it's all but aggressive and anger, however the Opium song keep Moonspell in my mind along all these years.

There are tons of reviews of this album so I will not describe it musically.

I believe this album define the Moonspell sound and the structure of their harmonies and melodies.

The sound of this album is captivate and hypnotic, due to the indescribably atmosphere provided by the keyboards. The sequence between bass-shriek voice-clear voice-riffs it is magnificent, of course, with keyboards in background. when I hear the Irreligious album is awesome the level of relax I can reach, maybe with practice I could have an astral travel (if I knew how to do it or if I believe that such thing is possible). Seriously, the compositions encourages you to relax and transport yourself to a place of beauty and peace.

I mentioned the astral travel because I've seen pictures that depicts the astral trip and generally are composed by a man floating above the world with arms wide open meanwhile their inner self glows with a cosmic light, exactly this image is the way I feel when I hear this album which provokes me a trip to the most beautiful and peaceful place within my soul, and the Opium song is the end of the trip full of joy, comfort and satisfaction.
